Record Number of Blue Flags for Portugal
Portugal’s beaches have been awarded more Blue Flags than ever before, achieving a total of 276 according to new figures recently released. With 69, the Algarve is the region with most Blue Flags to its name, followed by 67 in the north of the country, 49 along the Lisbon Coast, 33 in the archipelago of the Azores, 24 in the Alentejo, 23 in the Centro region and 11 in Madeira. read more
